GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Eva Zeisel worked in potteries in both Budapest and Hamburg before moving to Schramberger Majolika-Fabrik. While at the pottery in Germany's Black Forest region between 1928 and 1930, she introduced surface patterns and shapes that were heavily influenced by contemporary abstract painting and geometric Bauhaus-style architecture.
