Our dynamic virtual program options provide opportunities for you and your students to engage with the DMA from wherever you are.
Through story time, songs, games, and art making, children ages 3-6 and their teachers can explore art and their own creativity.
Go van Gogh® brings the DMA to pre-K through 6th grade classrooms through free programs that encourage students to engage with works of art, develop and express ideas and opinions, and make personal and academic connections. All programs include art-making activities and are offered in English and Spanish. During the 2021–2022 school year, virtual Go van Gogh will be offered via pre-recorded videos.
Trained volunteer docents lead free, engaging, age-appropriate tours for K–12 students on a variety of themes that encourage students to engage with works of art, develop and express ideas and opinions, and make personal and academic connections.
These videos are designed specifically for DISD 4th grade students and their teachers. Upon request, we will share a link to a selection of 10-minute videos, each of which includes a discussion of artworks connected to your tour theme with prompts for close looking, strategies for engagement, and ideas to move beyond discussion. Educators will receive supplementary material prior to the program date.
Higher Ed Live Virtual School Tours are available for college or university groups in the DFW Metroplex that are meeting synchronously via video or face-to-face. Trained docents will join your class video conferencing platform and facilitate a 45-minute version of your chosen program consisting of an interactive discussion of artworks. Educators will receive supplementary material prior to the program date. Live Virtual Tours are offered Tuesday–Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
