In partnership with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and Trinity (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated

An unforgettable portrait of one of the most inspiring historical figures of the 20th century, published on the centenary of his birth, The Prison Letters of Nelson Mandela reveals how Nelson Mandela, a lawyer by training, advocated for prisoners’ human rights. The letters reveal him to be a loving father, a husband who offered unwavering support to his also-imprisoned wife, and a tireless advocate of a human rights philosophy that resonates today. This landmark volume presents the heroism of a man who refused to compromise his moral values in the face of extraordinary punishment. This event will feature Zamaswazi Dlamini-Mandela, granddaughter of Nelson Mandela and entrepreneur, and Sahm Venter, journalist and Senior Researcher at the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Tickets include admission to the exhibition The Power of Gold: Asante Royal Regalia from Ghana before the event.
