DMA Members in Book Talk are invited for a special book-club-style discussion and related tour.
The Music Lesson by Katharine Weber
Join us for a discussion of Katharine Weber’s second novel, inspired by Lady at the Virginals with a Gentleman, known as “The Music Lesson,” by Johannes Vermeer. In Weber’s work, Patricia Dolan is alone with a stolen Vermeer painting in an Irish cottage by the sea. Her story takes her on an emotional journey of self-discovery and transformation in which she must determine the things she values most and what she must do to preserve them. Preceding the talk, we will meet in front of Horchow Auditorium and depart on our exclusive tour of related works. Book Talk participants are encouraged to read this delightful work of fiction before the event.
Space is limited and a reservation is required.
