Step back in time with 18th-century works performed by European Ensemble Strings while enjoying dinner in the DMA Cafe.

Art Activity: Vases Fit for Versailles
5:00–9:00 p.m., Art Studio, Center for Creative Connections, Level 1
Drop by the Art Studio to paint your own vase inspired by objects from the Michael L. Rosenberg
Collection of 18th-Century French Art. Materials provided; limited to the first 200 attendees. Pick up free tickets beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the table outside C3.

Rosenberg Lecture: Power and Pleasure: Decorative Arts and Cultural Contact Between France and India in the 18th Century
7:00–8:00 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
Dr. Meredith Martin, Associate Professor of Art History at New York University, will talk about commercial, cultural, and political exchanges between France and India in the 18th century and how a consumer craze for Indian goods at this time transformed French fashion and material culture. Find out more.

Performance in the Galleries

Enjoy a performance by European Ensemble Strings in the European Galleries.

Scavenger Hunt: At Home
8:00–8:45 p.m., European Galleries, Level 2
Explore the newly reinstalled European Galleries and trace changing trends in decorative styles over time. When you have all the answers, return to the table for a prize.

Enjoy a drink and a magnifique menu in the DMA Cafe, open until 8:30 p.m.
