GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Lansquenet is the French translation of the German word, landsknecht. A landsknecht was an infantry soldier in the German army in the 15th through 17th centuries. They can be identified identified by their choice of weaponry, usually a variation of a halberd and a dagger.
