2000.255.FA Cassatt, Woman with Mirror


GENERAL DESCRIPTION  

NOTES
Added geographies to constituent record. (See object draft for Cassatt, Sleepy Baby, 1952.38.M)

Replaced current title (Woman with Mirror) with accurate title based on multiple catalogues- The Bonnet.

Replaced no date with c. 1891. [This date needs to change to 1889-1890 if the print was included in the 1890 exhibition of 12 drypoints at Durand-Ruel as claimed in Rosen and Pinsky's 2000 exhibition catalogue.]

Revise medium and object name to include drypoint and be in same format as the other prints.

Added third state to TMS.

PUBLISHED REFERENCES:
Breeskin (1979),page 135 (illus.), cat entry on page 60,  cat. no. 137- The Bonnet, c. 1891. Illustration shows the same inscription as DMA's- leads to conclusion that ours is 3rd state.
