GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Miho is a famous pine grove on a black sand beach that reaches out into Suruga Bay and offers a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. Miho and the town of Ejiri are now part of the port city Shimizu, which developed as a base for deep-sea fishing in the Meiji era (1868-1912).
