GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Morgantown Glassware Guild's American Modern blown glassware were produced to accompany Stuebenville Pottery Company's popular smash hit earthenware line of the same name. Futuristic in both shape and color, these lines appealed to the young, well-educated, urban consumer who in the postwar period would come to dominate the debate over "good taste."
