GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The shape of this knife's blade is commonly interpreted as a bird's head, which it resembles. Its handle is wound with strips of brass. Among the Kota, Fang, and neighboring peoples, such knives were not only ceremonial objects but used in cult organizations and also as defensive weapons of war.
