GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Antonia Christina Basilotta (or "Toni Basil") dances around a darkly-shaded photographer's studio. The camera follows the dancer's gyrating, graceful movements and zooms in and out from her body in what feels like an ecstatic homage. The soundtrack is written by Ed Cobb and sung by Basilotta, and along with the filmed image, begins playing in reverse halfway through the film, returning eventually to the beginning of the song and dance.
Excerpt from
Claire Rifelj and Suzanne Weaver, DMA unpublished material, 2005.
