[1] The weaver's name was Inchah, who died around 1940 (just before the Japanese arrival in Sarawak during World War II). She was said to have been about 80 years old at that time. According to the family this unique blanket was displayed only when a pig was ritually slaughtered to usher in the Dayak New Year (Gawai).
