Bird, curator emeritus of South American archaeology at the American Museum of Natural History, notes: "M65 A mythical combination of bird, human hands, and other vegetative elements one of which evidently the same thing combined with frog figure No. 21. For interpretation consult Dr. Ch. Donan. Mochica IV."
