Dallas, Texas—February 3, 2020—The Dallas Museum of Art is pleased to announce upcoming bilingual and Spanish-language education programs taking place during the spring of 2020. These free programs for students and families are part of an ongoing Museum initiative, launched last year, to bolster bilingual programming. The DMA’s education staff includes six bilingual staff members who organize programs for visitors of all ages both at the Museum and across the city. In the first year of the initiative, over 4600 people participated in one of the DMA’s Spanish-language programs.
Go van Gogh®, the DMA’s outreach program that brings trained volunteer art educators to classrooms, now offers programs in Spanish. Programs for the 2019–2020 school year run through May 22, and can be requested online. All pre-kindergarten programs are available in either English or Spanish. For students in kindergarten through the 6th grade, Go van Gogh® offers a storytelling-themed program, facilitated in Spanish.
