Sit under the stars for an outdoor screening of The Birdcage on Ross Avenue Plaza, presented in partnership with Downtown Dallas Inc. A remake of the classic French farce La Cage aux Folles, this 1996 comedy stars Robin Williams and Nathan Lane as Armand and Albert, the owner and star of a Miami Drag club. When Armand’s son Val plans a dinner with his future in-laws, the flamboyant couple hatches a plan to pretend to be straight. Chaos ensues as everyone tries to keep up the deception. This film is rated R for language (1996, 119 min.).
