Painterly

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Painterly describes a painting in which the tactile, fluid quality of the paint and traces of its physical application become a principal quality of the work.

NOTES
Adapted from- Ken Kelsey, Gail Davitt, Mary Ann Allday, Barbara Barrett, and Troy Smythe, Contemporary Art and Design at the Dallas Museum of Art, Teaching Packet, 1995.

Status of this note was changed from routed to completed- June 14, 2016.

Adding "draft" tag back to note, Dec 19, 2016, as part of the revised harvest/route procedure. This note will be pulled into GDrive and manually moved to Queta's folders for final review. Update- January 18, 2017- Adding #routed tag so that I can easily keep track of this note in Evernote to confirm that it is eventually pushed into GDrive. As of January 18, 2017 the content is in Brain but not in GDrive so I am unable to finish revisions and mark it complete in Evernote or move the GDoc to Queta's folder.

Removing #routed and adding #completed- March 6, 2017. GDoc moved to Queta's folders for review.

I wrote the rule to apply to content based on the term "painterly" in the Evernote contents. This method will prevent the term from connecting to anything that the D3Cs have not reviewed but it will allow it to be linked to material that is ready for display when the OLC design is finalized. (EAS, June 2016)
