1977.57.FA Maillol, Woman Kneeling

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Aristide Maillol's prolonged interest in simplification, classical aesthetics, and the female figure is displayed in Woman Kneeling Down with One Knee Raised. The etching demonstrates the artist's ability to communicate volume and weight with pure line.
