GENERAL DESCRIPTION    
The special product of Minakuchi was the shavings of dried gourds, which were used in a number of Japanese dishes. The women in this scene are peeling gourds and hanging the strips to dry.

水口 (Minakuchi) appears next to the title in black, next to which in red is 名物干瓢 (famous dried gourd strips).
