GENERAL DESCRIPTION  
This dagger has an Islamic curved steel blade. The ornament on the scabbard is an intricate combination of varied metal techniques, including repoussé, filigree, engraving, appliqué decorations, and mesh rings. The craftsman's name is inscribed on the back of the hilt: "Made by Mohammed Mirwan."
