NOTES
Did not change the medium from Lithograph to Color lithograph because I have not adequately researched and formulated a solution to the cataloging of works on paper in the collection. I have made note of this discrepancy in my records to change at a future date.

According to Cate (2000), page 162, this image appeared in "Album-Pen," no. 2, with introductory text by Gustave Geffroy, (editions de la 'Maison Moderne,' Paris, 1900). The catalogue does not offer additional information on this publication.

According to Ives (1989), page 239, this image appeared in the portfolio "Das Mappenwerk der Insel." This was a portfolio of forty lithographs, etchings, woodcuts, and facsimiles issued by the journal "Die Insel." A stamp confirming this distribution method may be located on the verso or margin of the print. Getty Cultural Object Naming Authority gives additional information on this portfolio as containing twenty-four original prints by Anton Albers, Paul Baum, Pierre Bonnard, Frank Brangwyn, Eugène Delâtre, Maurice Denis, James Ensor, Ernst Moritz Geyger, Wilhelm Laage, Georges Lemmen, Max Liebermann, William Nicholson, Auguste Rodin, Max Arthur Stremel, Hans Thoma, Heinrich Vogeler, Edouard Vuillard, Emil Rudolf Weiss, Ybels, and Ignacio Zuloaga.
