1985.R.41 Nemon, Churchill (Reves)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This bust, which was the first study for Churchill's official statue to come from this artist's hands, was offered to Wendy and Emery Reves by the artist.

Excerpt from
  • Label text, Reves Gallery, 2018.

NOTES
Note: TMS data lists artist as Nearmon, with no first name available. ULAN has no record for Nearmon. However, another document in the object file identifies Oscar Nemon, a croatian-born, british subject, who sculpted busts of Sigmund Freud and Winston Churchill. Not sure who created this document and placed it in the file, or if we should change the attribution.
Also - should this be in a different department?
